Trace the origin. Verify the history. Prove the integrity.
Blackwater Verify establishes the origin, integrity and authenticity of digital content by combining synthetic-media detection, C2PA Content Credentials, metadata analysis, cryptographic hashing and tamper-evident verification records. You learn not only whether content may have been manipulated, but, where Content Credentials survive, where it came from, and you keep a sealed record of what was checked.

How it works
Blackwater Verify combines provenance signals, content credentials, metadata and cryptographic integrity checks to help organisations trust digital content.

Key functions
What Digital Provenance checks, and where each part stands.
- Live
Synthetic-media detection
Checks still images for AI generation, face swaps and supported manipulation. Voice and video are in testing.
- Live
C2PA / Content Credentials
Verifies the signed Content Credentials inside a file and shows who issued them and which tool made it. Most shared images carry none, and that is never held against the file.
- Live with C2PA
Origin verification
When valid Content Credentials are present, the record names who signed them. Without them, origin cannot be proven, and the result says so.
- Live
Cryptographic hashing
Each file and each piece of evidence is fingerprinted with SHA-256, so anyone can later confirm it is exactly the same file.
- Live
Tamper-evident audit record
Every result is sealed into a decision record. Change a single detail and the seal no longer matches.
- Live
Chain of custody
Export a case's chain-of-custody bundle: what was submitted, what was found, and how it was sealed. Every export is itself logged in an audit trail that cannot be edited.
- Live
Metadata analysis
File details are read and kept in the record for context. They never decide a result on their own, because metadata is easily stripped or forged.
- Roadmap
Modification history
Reading the full edit history inside Content Credentials, such as crops, filters and AI edits, is planned.
- Roadmap
Trusted timestamps
Independent third-party timestamps are planned. Today each record carries the time our system sealed it.
Roadmap items are not committed releases and carry no dates.
Why it matters
Detection says what. Provenance says where from, and proves it.
Analyse authenticity
Forensic detection looks for signs that an image was generated or altered.
Examine provenance
Content Credentials and file details show where content came from, when that information exists.
Leave evidence behind
Each calibrated decision is sealed with its evidence, so it can be checked again later.
